MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- If you're looking for something fun to end your weekend, check out the Makeshift Festival at Tenney Park on Sunday.
The annual summer party exposes people to cutting edge food, drinks and visual art. New dishes from cooks and restaurants across the Midwest and beyond will be available.
The festival runs Sunday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Each year the festival is hosted by a different park, this year Makeshift Festival will take place at Tenney Park.
Through a submission process, artists are selected based upon their work in important social topics: community, sustainability, public commodities & public spaces. Makeshift 2017 featured over 20 renowned artists from throughout the Midwest.
People will come together to explore the unique, engaging and immersive outdoor experience. In the process, the day becomes a new lasting memory for many and a new way to add to the rich history of Madison's parks.
